We are an established dance school in the Nottingham and Derby area, offering dance classes and lessons in Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence, Classical Sequence, Salsa, Rock & Roll and Line Dancing.

Dancing is great exercise, good fun and a way of meeting like-minded people. If you’ve never taken a step before, think you have two left feet or simply want to have a go, then you are in the right place.

All our teachers are fully qualified and have years of experience in working with dancers of all ages and abilities. We can offer classes, individual tuition and short introductory courses. So why not call or email us to find out what we can do for you.

Why learn to dance

Dancing is an enjoyable and social activity which can be a great way to meet people. It’s also good exercise for both the body and mind.

Depending how regularly you take classes or lessons, dance can vary from a gentle exercise to a full body workout. What’s more, it’s good for developing balance, poise, spatial awareness, muscle tone and flexibility.

Studies have proven that dance stimulates the release of endorphins within the body which are the body’s ‘happy pills’.

Other studies have shown that by providing mental stimulation along with the mind and body co-ordination required, learning to dance can help in the prevention of Alzheimer's disease.

So all in all there’s never been a better time to start.

Improving your Dancing

If you can dance already and want to improve your technique or brush up on dances you are not so familiar with, then we can help. We usually find this is best achieved through individual instruction and we can offer lessons during the daytime, evenings and weekends, so we’re sure to have something to suit your needs. Alternatively, you might like to try a different style of dance. Therefore, call or email us to discuss further

Competitions

A number of our students, both children and adults, regularly enter competitions, many of them initially only come to learn to dance but have since surprised themselves by their own progress. We support and run a number of events throughout the year, from social competitions (for those just starting out in competition dancing) to national events (for those who want a little bit more of a challenge).
